Anthony is the owner and founder of ERM International. Anthony started ERM International after spending 20 years in industry, including 12 years with BHP where he held senior risk roles across the globe.


He is also a father, a husband, and a keen road cyclist. When he's not on his bike he spends his free time supporting his daughter's equestrian pursuits, and loves every minute of it!


  • Anthony was awarded Australasia's Risk Manager of the Year in 2018 for excellence in risk management and contribution to the profession.

  • From 2017 until starting ERM International in 2020, Anthony was the Head of Risk Strategy and Transformation for BHP where he led the global transformation program to elevate BHP to international best practice.

  • From 2014-2017 Anthony was based in Canada where he led a remediation of the risk team and risk practices for a multi-billion dollar project in response to material risks that had occurred. Following his remediation, the project was recognized as internal best practice through independent reviews and project tollgates.

  • From 2012-2014 Anthony was based in Singapore. He led a project to establish a global Enterprise Risk solution using a SAP platform for a major global corporation. He also worked with marketing and commercial teams where he ran business improvement projects and broadened his expertise in financial and commercial risk management.

  • From 2009 - 2012 Anthony worked in the Iron Ore sector based out of Western Australia. There his major achievement was to lead a catastrophic risk management program that was initiated in response to a series of fatalities. This program has been very successful, with the client not having any fatalities since this time.

  • Anthony has also worked in insurance as a Chief Risk Officer and State Risk Manager, regulated by APRA under CPS220.

  • He has worked in the tertiary education sector and as an industry-based Health & Safety professional.
